With the highest healthcare costs in the world, it is critical to develop solutions that will reduce the continual rise experienced by patients and healthcare providers alike. The ability to accomplish this, however, is severely limited by the facilities in which they practice.
Our approach to strategic facility development is based on lean business principals and philosophies, incorporating financial metrics to achieve optimum profitability. In an open collaborative environment existing patient care practices are examined for improvements and integrated with financial metrics, our specialist knowledge and key stakeholder input to create a new business model specific to our clients’ operating goals.
There is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to meeting the needs of a healthcare provider and every component and activity within a facility must be taken into consideration - from workflow, staffing needs, and capacity control to energy conservation, reimbursement potential and debt service/retirement. Conceptual ideas are checked against the business model with input from all team members and stakeholders until an optimum solution is developed.
